For kids predominantly aged 2 – 6 years, Explore Imagineland is an interactive web-based educational resource designed to inspire creativity, grow imaginations, and develop a lifelong love of music.
Imagineland was written by Dr Charles Margerison, who decided to give life to a series of published stories that he had initially written for his grandchildren.
As a fitting tribute to his family’s inspiration, the characters Amy, Alex, Dan, and Sofia are actually named after four of Dr Margerison’s grandchildren.
The support content for all Imagineland stories has been written and edited by educators, ensuring key learning areas for children aged between 2 to 6 years (or either side of this age group) have been met and the EYLF outcomes have been identified to support centres with their programming.
Imagineland is about the four siblings Amy, Alex, Daniel, and Sofia sharing stories alongside a series of unique characters.
Each new story and interaction provides its own special message and moral and helps children to identify and understand character traits and emotions. There are also games and downloadable colouring-in pages and other activities that children can enjoy.
Explore Imagineland Education Specialist Vidy Ah-Sam and her assistant Roy Wang are conducting trials in centres across the Gold Coast.

There’s a myriad of ways to enjoy Explore Imagineland with the whole family, class or playgroup, whether it’s reading along, watching a video, or singing and dancing to the unique musical stories for each character. Children can also discover fun quizzes and extras on their interactive journey of the site.

Dr Charles Margerison, President and founder of Amazing People Worldwide, is a Psychologist. He is also President of Amazing People Schools. Dr Margerison has consulted widely for major organizations in the fields of organizational and educational psychology. He was previously Professor of Management at Cranfield University, UK, and the University of Queensland, Australia. He founded Amazing People Worldwide in 2006 and is supported by a dedicated global team. He previously co-founded Emerald Publications, and Team Management Systems and has authored more than 30 books. Dr Charles is also the creator of ‘Can Do Kids Worldwide, a virtual music group that helps students to learn about countries and cultures through music.
